Overview

St. Elizabeth Physicians is seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Therapist to join our team. This role focuses on serving those with a substance use disorder. The ideal candidate will hold independent licensure in the state of Kentucky and possess a strong background in therapeutic approaches for substance use disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Working through a trauma competent lens, deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing substance use disorders and promoting recovery.
  • Seeks to enhancing motivation for change, evoking change while honoring the autonomy of the individual served
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' needs and progress throughout their recovery journey.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential documentation of therapy, develops individual treatment plans, adhering to all regulatory standards.
  • Understands the disease model, with particular appreciation for addiction medicine as one pathway to recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Meets patient care expectations for the position.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Independent licensure in the state of Kentucky as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC), or equivalent.
  • Experience in addiction medicine, therapeutic counseling, or mental health services is preferred.
  • Must have 80 hours of continue education related to substance use disorders within four years of starting with the organization or obtain within two years of hire date.
  • Expertise in evidence-based therapy methods, including CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to foster trust with patients.
